Sharon and Ronan’s wedding at Cabra Castle was the perfect balance of grandeur and intimacy. The castle’s historic charm and gold-leafed interiors provided a massive backdrop for a day that, at its heart, felt incredibly personal and relaxed.
I captured the day as it happened, using a modern documentary style to focus on the elegance, joy, and raw emotion of the celebration. From the quiet moments during the prep to the high-energy atmosphere of the castle halls, the goal was to keep everything natural. For their portraits, we took a wander through the castle’s vast grounds and ornate corridors. I kept things movement-based and easy, providing just enough direction to keep them comfortable without ever resorting to stiff, traditional poses. It was a timeless County Cavan celebration defined by genuine connection and a stunning historic setting.
